Bawang Assan - The Iban village with eight longhouses in it is about 45 minutes drive from the town area. Go visit these longhouses where you will be welcome with a shot of Tuak, local rice wine and have a taste of Iban pastries such as Chuan and Sarang Semut.
Watch demonstration on using the blowpipe, better yet, try it for yourself. Learn and enjoy the colourful traditional Iban costumes from your host, for extra, put it on yourself and get your camera ready for a little photo shoot session. Your host will be delighted if you join in the fun.
